Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the regularly scheduled events have been temporarily modified or postponed. Thanks for your ongoing support. State of Ohio COVID: Performing Arts
Hello from the Star Theatre,
What a performance of world-wide significance! What an act to follow! We will though. COVID-19 will not bring down the curtains; it will simply keep us on intermission a bit longer than we would like.
As you know, we were three weeks out from opening “Quilters.” The cast, musicians, and crew were working to offer this beautiful and empowering production. We plan to revive this play in the future. Obviously, we are having to completely rearrange our schedule, and cannot assign dates to productions or movies until large groups can safely come together in compliance with federal and state public health recommendations. However, you can look forward to Winnie-the-Pooh, The Female Odd Couple, August: Osage County, and many other offerings.
We are revisioning, reimagining, and reinventing.
Small theatre classes over the summer are in our plans. These classes will be held in a manner that is socially-distanced and safe for all involved. Please watch our Facebook page and website www.thestartheatre.org for upcoming details.
However, as we plan, we must constantly be aware that the sheer unpredictability of the pandemic, and the response to it from all concerned, means that we may need, at any moment, to pause our plans or even reverse them. All our planning needs to incorporate these possibilities. Please be patient with us. Your support is still needed, and even more so.
Thank you for your continuing belief in The Arts; we are an essential part of life!

Hey Everybody…here is a little something we created back before C19 showed up!😁
We’ll be back!
Here at The Star Theatre, we have been closely watching the mercurial situation surrounding the COVID 19 virus. Governor DeWine has now banned public gatherings of more than 100 people due to this virus. The Star Theatre board met to examine all options and we are working toward rescheduling “Quilters” for July 10-12. The cast and crew have spent the last couple of months working to bring this heartfelt and touching show to you. We want you to experience the beauty of the story and the joy of the music, so we feel this production is worth moving forward in our schedule.
If you already have tickets to “Quilters,” please hold onto them. We will honor them in July. If you have not yet bought your tickets, they will go on sale in June. Watch for our Facebook and website announcements. If you have questions or concerns, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Please be patient, as we are a one person front office. ;o)
We value the health and welfare of our patrons, artists, staff, and volunteers. We join with all of you in looking forward to our lives returning to their normal routines.
